"Here’s the latest news …"
At noon on March 10th, the big horn of Lidongtun, Zuli Village, Rongxi Town, Rongxian County, Guangxi suddenly sounded.
"At the two sessions just held in Beijing, the central leadership stated that rural subsidies will not only continue in the future, but will also increase by 10%. Don’t worry! "
Announcer Yang Wanzong, 63, is an ordinary farmer.
Since 1984, Yang Wanzong has volunteered to set up a broadcasting room at home. At 6: 30 a.m. and 7: 00 p.m. every day, news, policies and notices are broadcast in local dialects on time, or songs and operas are played according to the needs of villagers.
In the past 30 years, with the support of the party organization, Yang Wanzong’s voice has been echoing over this rural area, playing a "good voice of the country".
30 years "Where has all the time gone?" ——
"Broadcast every day, publicize every day, and have a happy life."
Yang Wanzong’s home is at the commanding height of Lidongtun. Standing on the top of the building, you can have a panoramic view of Lidong and the surrounding villages.
"30 years in a blink of an eye!" Speaking of his own broadcast, Yang Wanzong was very emotional.
In the winter of 1984, Yang Wanzong and several villagers transported more than 10,000 kilograms of lime to Gaozhou, Xinyi and other places in Guangdong hundreds of kilometers away, hoping to sell it at a good price. Unexpectedly, after hard work, I found that the local price was lower than that of my hometown, which was laborious and lost money.
This experience made Yang Wanzong deeply touched: "Information is unreasonable and everywhere is blind!" Lidong Mountain is a long way, and the information is blocked. How can we find the right way to develop?
He bought a transistor radio and listened to relevant information. Unexpectedly, "a small box, filled with university questions, soon became’ well-informed’ and’ informative’".
"Good things should be shared with everyone!" Yang Wanzong came up with an idea: why not set up a broadcasting room to publicize the party’s principles and policies and disseminate information and knowledge.
His idea was supported by the village. Yang Wanzong used all his savings at home to buy a disc player and a loudspeaker, and installed loudspeakers at the commanding heights in front of and behind the village, respectively, and the "Young’s Broadcasting Room" was proclaimed.
Since then, every morning and evening, Yang Wanzong’s dialect broadcast will always ring on time.
Soon after the broadcast, his family became lively. The villagers came to the door in twos and threes, some to entertain and some to make suggestions-"You broadcast too quietly, and many of them didn’t hear you clearly"; "The content is too monotonous, but you can also play some songs. It’s not tiring to listen to the work" …
Seeing that the radio was so popular, my wife changed from opposing to supporting. On the days when Yang Wanzong is not at home occasionally, she will also make a guest appearance. With the gradual affluence of his family’s economy, Yang Wanzong bought advanced amplifiers and loudspeakers. In the past 30 years, dozens of sets of equipment have been replaced, filling a room.
Yang Wanzong only attended junior high school, and his cultural level was not high, so he found a dictionary and learned it now. He subscribes to various newspapers and magazines at his own expense, and focuses on news and agricultural programs when watching TV. A few years ago, after he learned to surf the Internet, the news was made known to his neighbors for the first time through his megaphone.
Every day, radio accompanies villagers to work and children to and from school. Over time, Yang Wanzong’s broadcast became the "dependence" of the villagers.
"Are you happy to work for nothing for so many years?" The reporter asked.
Yang Wanzong said: "Happy! How can you persist in being unhappy for so many years? "
"This is not your responsibility!" The reporter said.
Yang Wanzong said: "It was not my responsibility originally, but when I did it, it became a responsibility."
"Broadcast every day, publicize every day, and have a happy life!" Yang Wanzong summed up his "broadcasting life" like this.
The "private order" of the small mountain village-
"It is a translation and a horn, and we can’t live without it all day."
Yang Wanzong’s broadcast "speaks loudly from afar", radiating more than 2,000 people in Lidong and several surrounding villages. Every morning, every family "opens the door to eight things": rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea, plus listening to the big speaker.
"It is a good translation for all of us, and it is the horn of production and life. We can’t live without it all day." ….. A few villagers, holding me back, told reporters the benefits of broadcasting.
Nowadays, most of the rural areas are left-behind elderly people, and they can’t understand Mandarin when watching TV. Yang Wanzong "translated" what the villagers didn’t understand into vernacular and broadcast it, and everyone understood it as soon as they heard it.
At first, many people did not understand and accepted new things such as the new rural cooperative medical system and endowment insurance. Yang Wanzong realized that the lack of understanding of the "three rural" policies is the root cause of the villagers’ lack of "security" in production and life. "Only by understanding the policy can we grasp the direction." After he thoroughly understood the policy himself, he "settled accounts" for everyone on the radio: "The new rural cooperative medical system, you pay tens of dollars every year, and you can reimburse tens of thousands of dollars when you are hospitalized. Is it cost-effective? Endowment insurance, pay 100 yuan a year, and get more than 1,000 yuan a year after the age of 60. Is it cost-effective? "
When everyone heard this, they felt reasonable and accepted it gladly.
In 1996, the superior encouraged the popularization of new hybrid rice, but the new rice varieties were very sensitive to the weather. At first, everyone looked at the weather according to the indigenous method, but they always made mistakes and were often caught off guard.
"Why don’t you broadcast the weather forecast you hear every day?" Yang Wanzong had a brainwave. Since then, the village has its own "meteorological station".
Litchi is abundant in the local area. But how to care for litchi and avoid pests? Yang Wanzong became an "expert" by studying hard. Under the guidance of his broadcast, litchi is famous for its high yield and good selling.
Last summer, there was a bumper harvest of litchi, and how to sell it at a good price became another difficult problem. Yang Wanzong learned from the news that the state has implemented a "protective price" for agricultural products, and inquired about the sales channels online. With a phone call, merchants thousands of miles away were invited to the village. He broadcast the information in time. For 10 days in a row, before dawn every day, villagers in five nearby villages went up the mountain to pick lychees with flashlights, packed, frozen, stored and transported … 2 million kilograms of lychees were exported to Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan and other places, and the price was nearly twice as high as in previous years.
In the construction of new countryside, Rong county decided to set up Lidong as an orchid planting pilot and sent a technician. Yang Wanzong quickly invited the technician to the "studio".
"What’s the new policy? What is the market prospect? How to plant it? " Yang Wanzong’s "live interview", the technician answered in detail, and the villagers knew it when they heard it.
Today, Lidong has become the largest "national orchid production base" in Guangxi, and the per capita annual income of villagers has increased by more than 5,300 yuan.
With the development of the times, villagers in Lidong have begun to use digital TV and Internet, but their dependence on Yang Wanzong’s broadcasting has not decreased at all. "Now, we listen to the radio in everything we do, and we feel’ organized and disciplined’ and have a backbone." Villager Yang Huanzong expressed everyone’s voice.
In case of emergency, the big horn becomes the "horn" of action.
At the beginning of 2007, a fire broke out in a forest in a neighboring village. The discoverer first called Yang Wanzong. He shouted on the radio, and in a few minutes, the villagers rode bicycles and ran to the top of the mountain and quickly put out the fire. "Faster than 119!" Yang Wanzong said.
Yang Wanzong was inspired by this experience. He studied fire laws and regulations and knowledge of fire prevention and extinguishing on the Internet, and taught everyone repeatedly on the radio. In recent years, there have been four fires in neighboring villages, and his broadcasts have all played the role of calling the police.
In the past, every Spring Festival, villagers liked to get together to play cards and gamble. In order to change this bad habit, Yang Wanzong organizes the "New Year’s Cup" basketball games every year, moves the big speaker to the stadium, explains it on the spot, and cheers up.
The "New Year’s Cup" was held for 17 consecutive sessions, which made it famous in the local area. People from nearby towns, counties and even Beiliu City also formed teams to participate.
In today’s Zuli village, the neighborhood relationship is harmonious, the villagers are not superstitious or gambling, and there has not been a public security case for many years. Ye Guobin, a Taiwanese businessman, has been investing in Orchid Garden in Zuli Village for almost 10 years. He told reporters: "It’s really’ not closing the door at night, not picking up the road’! Many of our valuables are stored in the open air and have never been lost. "
Thousands of people sing "Good Voice of the Country"-
"This kind of good voice must be passed down all the time."
As the years passed, Yang Wanzong’s voice changed from loud to hoarse. Many people who did business with him in the past have made a fortune and are rich; And he is obsessed with this "loss-making business" and still guards several old houses.
In 30 years, Yang Wanzong achieved something. He made the broadcasting flourish. Driven by his propaganda, the surrounding villagers have a very strong atmosphere of learning and using science and technology, and the channels for obtaining information are constantly expanding.
"Although I didn’t make any money, I still have a sense of accomplishment." Yang Wanzong said.
In order not to affect the broadcast, Yang Wanzong almost never travels far. If you need to go out temporarily, first adjust the equipment, let your wife broadcast it on your behalf, and repeatedly tell you, "Don’t make a mistake!"
On one occasion, his wife was ill and went to the county for surgery. This was very busy for Yang Wanzong, who rushed from the county to the village at 4 am every day. Running back and forth like this, the broadcast never stops.
The current in the countryside is not normal, and sometimes it will encounter lightning, and the equipment is often burned out. To this end, he specially bought a set of spare equipment. In the past 30 years, equipment and equipment have been expensive, which is not a small burden for ordinary farmers, but he never tires of it: "Everyone is satisfied, I think it is worth it!"
What Yang Wanzong didn’t expect was that when the leading comrades of the autonomous region learned about his deeds, they came to visit him and encouraged him: "This kind of’ good voice in the countryside’ should be passed down all the time!" And asked the local party Committee and government to seriously sum up and promote it. Subsequently, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region also sent a computer and a set of broadcasting equipment specially, and helped him install broadband-Yang Wanzong’s "local broadcasting", and then entered the "network age".
The concern and encouragement of superior leaders is both motivation and pressure. After all, time and tide wait for no man. At the age of 63, Lao Yang is worried that there will be no one to take over the radio that he has worked hard for a lifetime.
However, on second thought, he was relieved: his son Yang Jiale went out to work, and often called to ask about the radio. When he came home, he also taught him to look up information online, and helped to repair the machine when it broke down. Last year’s fire, when I was not at home, was called by my son by radio and led the villagers to put it out.
"Maybe my son can take over!" There is pride in words, and more is expectation.
But he hasn’t told his son about his heart yet. "I’m once, at present can also! I want to broadcast until I can’t speak! "
"A farmer, like a bond, connects the mountains with the outside world; A broadcast, like a bridge, carries out the spirit at all levels to the most basic level. Yang Wanzong and his broadcasting are a successful example of strengthening the construction of rural propaganda and public opinion positions in the new era and a model of practicing socialist core values. " Ge Guoke, secretary of Rongxian County Party Committee, said emotionally.
To Yang Wanzong’s great joy, the county party committee and government of Rongxian presented broadcasting equipment to all administrative villages, and selected a group of "local broadcasters" who are enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings to take charge of broadcasting.
More "good voices of the countryside" will fly over the wider land. (Reporter Liu Kun correspondent Zhou Shixing)
A short comment on the experts who solve the "last mile"
Yang Wanzong, a 63-year-old villager from Lidongtun Village, Rongxi Town, Rongxian County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, overcame various difficulties and volunteered to broadcast and publicize for the surrounding people for 30 years. The audience welcomed him and the leaders praised him. The more he worked, the more energetic he became. Compared with Yang Wanzong, we professional media people have no reason to slack off and complain.
We often try our best to promote the effect, but we don’t know that the best effect is that the people can understand, use and implement it. It is necessary to take root in the soil of ordinary people, observe their joys and sorrows, turn the education of others into self-education and turn "I want you to listen" into "I want to listen". With the establishment of this point, the improvement and innovation of content and form have a backbone. The content of Yang Wanzong’s broadcast includes the policies and culture conveyed by our mainstream media, the knowledge and information that can be used on the Internet, which content is the most effective, and what language is the most useful for the people.
Weili must look for it at the grassroots level. We should study Yang Wanzong and learn from Yang Wanzong. He didn’t talk about "core values", but turned them into dialect, common sense and common sense familiar to villagers. He was a translator, a political engineer and a thinker who cultivated and practiced socialist core values. We have entered the era of cloud computing and big data. From the central principles and policies, social ethics to the wisdom of production and life, there is always a "last mile" distance from the thousands of lines above to the people. Yang Wanzong is an expert in solving the "last mile". (lobe)
